Welcome to the Flotilla 5-3, District 11NR Web Site

Our Mission

To support Recreational Boating Safety and to support the active component of the United States Coast Guard.

Since 1939, the men and women of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary have volunteered their expertise, vessels and time in support of the Coast Guard and the recreational boating public.  We are the volunteer arm of the Coast Guard, currently consisting of 29,000 volunteers serving in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Guam.

District 11 Northern Region serves Northern California, Nevada and Utah.  Flotilla 53 covers the area from Suisun Bay to the western Sacramento--San Joaquin Delta, as well as the inland waters of Lake Berryessa.

The District CS (Communication Services) team is committed to making technology a productive tool in supporting team Coast Guard’s efforts to protect, support, and aid the boating public.

  • To make the District’s website the first place to go to find anything regarding the Auxiliary.
  • To maintain a showplace where the Auxiliary can show the public what we do and why we volunteer our time to this great effort.
  • To invite others to join the USCG Auxiliary in our mission to make public boating safe and fun for all.
